The Role of Hardware in Autonomous Platforms

It's easy to think of autonomous vehicles as a software problem with a car attached. In practice, the hardware layer — custom PCBs, sensor wiring, power distribution — is what determines whether any of that software can run reliably in the real world.

APEX Hardware designs and builds the physical nervous system of the vehicle: the boards that interface with sensors, the wiring harnesses that have to survive vibration and heat, and the power systems that keep everything running under load.

A lot of this work is invisible when it's done well — which is exactly the point. Reliable hardware means every other division can focus on their own problems instead of debugging a flaky connection mid-test.
